I found this in the game manual: Link to 2019 BOM
That looks like it. I recommend you print it and give it to your RI when asked.
Looks like they forgot to update it from before Kickoff, when all the 2019 stuff was replaced with that image
See also Q227.
Leave it to team 900 to post that.
If the wizard is on your team, $0 on the BOM. If not, well then you have to figure out fair market value for a wizard’s time.
If the meme is not part of your robot, or the effort comes from team members, $0. Otherwise, fair market value for a low effort graphics designer.
P.S. It’s probably easier to find a VENDOR for the graphics designer.
When I click that link, I download the BOM template. Looks like they fixed it.
But, dude, that Q&A question isn’t funny, it’s rude. And everyone wants their 3 minutes back - that should have been an email to the frcteams account, not something everyone now has to read and work past every time they are on the Q&A. Team 900 should know better.
It seems that Ian Mckellen made somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 million for LOTR. I supposed one could calculate his total on-screen time for the movies, along with the duration of that scene, to come up with an estimated percentage of the total cost for that particular meme.
Each to his own. I thought it was hilarious – I actually laughed aloud when I read it. Much less a waste of time than all the entries that could be answered by “Dude, try reading the game manual before posting questions…”
If by “BOM template”, you mean “spreadsheet containing a single image macro”, sure.
I just downloaded it myself and I see Gandalf.
Is it less of a waste of time than trying to download a BOM template, only to find out that it’s been replaced with a meme because the GDC didn’t want teams to access a mostly blank spreadsheet early?
Was “Yes, chute door” rude? If they can joke, we can too!
More like 30 seconds? Anyway it less irritating than repeated questions about something clearly stated in the rules. Or questions that have already been asked and answered.
And yes Chute door.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes. They made a crappy meme and didn’t think to check their links worked for almost 2/3 of the build season.
Take the light ribbing or get called inept, which is more GP?
Don’t forget about 2016 when they used the official Team Updates platform to push a “joke” at the tail end of a build season.
Yeah, true, that was spectacularly lame. Argument rescinded, thanks for showing me the way.
