Are you looking for a fun summer job where you can work with kids and give back to the community?

iD Tech Camps is currently seeking summer staff, Camp Directors and Camp Instructors, with familiarity and/or mastery in one of the following fields of study: Robotics, Programming, 2D and 3D Video Game Creation, Digital Video Editing, Web Design & Flash Animation, and/or 3D Character Modeling!

Specifically, iD Tech Camps is looking for instructors with expertise in utilizing the VEX™ Robotics Design System in order to teach RoboContenders (http://www.internaldrive.com/robotics), a brand new course designed in partnership with the VEX team. There are also positions available to teach other courses.

Small classes ensure customized instruction and encourage peer guidance and networking. One computer for each student, and no more than eight students per instructor. iD’s summer technology programs are sophisticated, yet personalized, for beginner to advanced skill levels.

Qualified candidates will have previous summer camp work experience, experience teaching and/or working with kids, an energetic, fun-loving personality and flexible summer schedule.

Compensation is based on prior experience, level of education, and position of responsibility. Overnight Camp Directors start at $800/wk + bonus potential, Overnight Camp Instructors start at $500/wk. Room and board is included for all overnight staff.

How to Apply:
For consideration, all interested candidates MUST apply online at: http://www.internaldrive.com/summer_employment.htm.

No phone calls or resumes please.

I have applied, went through 85% of filling out the application and asked for more time as said in the application, then the days went by and i just recieved a email stating they passed on me and hired someone else. It sounds like a great place, but i would be careful while dealing with these people for employment. I’d also like to state that they will not hire you for 1 program, you must be able to teach atleast two of the course Brandon has listed.

o well, i guess…

(if this is not proper, i will reword it to be proper.)

Has anyone else applied for an Instructor position with iD? I got a job teaching the RoboContenders class at Wake Forest University. The pay is better than anything I would be getting here on the Gulf Coast and free room and board is definately a plus. This really is an amazing job opportunity and a great camp for students.

It’s not totally free room and board. It costs $60 a weekend to stay there. and the overall income to the hours worked is not that great.

I applied and had a phone interview. I should find out this week if I got it.
