Idea for getting over the bumps

Well instead of using the balance ramps, what if we like had pistons on the bottom of the robot that could almost make the robot “hop” over the bumps. Is that allowed?

A rule states that nothing that would damage the floor can be deployed, so this seems unlikely. If a wheel was deployed it could work.

A similar idea was used in 2006 in this video, without damaging the arena. Of course, you probably wouldn’t want such a big arm, but similar ideas (getting the first wheel over the bump) were used in the past with success.

I say the best way to do it is just either have tank treads or have big enough wheels so that the point of impact is below the center of the wheel
