So, after all the competitions or busy building periods, it’s time to relax.
This year, our team has some extra pneumatics parts such as cylinders and valves. And that’s why I, as a leader in pneumatics, decided to build a recycle can-crusher. But none of our members could come up with a good idea. So, any experts here can help me will be greatly appreciated. I also wondering if crusher could crush glass bottle is possible.Thank You.
down here in NY they like the cans returned un-crushed. If i was building one I would use a some PVC and the larger supplied cylinder. It would be cool if you could design something that used some sensors to auto load & unload. Sounds like a fun project, let me know how it turns out.
our school actually has this type of thing. it is very complex though it does have sensors so it is relatively automatic. there are components on it which aren’t included in the kit so you would have to go out and buy some stuff. i can get a few pictures of it but i don’t know much about it so i will talk to someone who does and maybe even get you a schematic.
When I used to work with Edison Tech, (team #73) they had a pneumatic paper hole punch. I think there are existing manual can crushers. I’m sure they could be modified to be pneumatically driven.
