Hello, as you can tell by my outrageously large team number i’m from a rookie team, I would first like to say “Hi” to every one, and Second is to leave a way for any one going to the ST. Louis Regional to contact us, and either give us helpful tips, or basic’s of stratgy… you can E-mail the team at [email protected] Hope to hear from you guy’s and i look forward in to going to the competition.
Here’s something we learned last year as a rookie team: Think simple. Don’t try to do too many tasks. Think about how you can get the most points, not how you can do the most things.
Have fun this year and don’t be disappointed if you don’t do well in competition. Good luck!
Hey Ydnar, and Welcome!
Past (and present) experience makes me tend to agree with Eddie - simplicity is valued.
You’ll learn at competition that you’ll have a great time, whether your team wins or loses. The best advice I can give you is to have fun.
Hey, look me up in Saint Louis - I’d love to meet you. If there’s anything I can do to help you out, or any stories about the past 8 years at competition that I can tell you to brighten your day, just hollar!
Later!

It’s great to of heard from you two, yhea we kind of stayied close to the simple idea, but i think some of those start to become more complecated through out the days of stress, lol anywho, yhea thanks for writing and i hope to see you at st. louis, if you wish to e-mail my team you can at [email protected], good luck on the last two weeks…
Hey, with enough Mountain Dew and vending machine food, you’ll be fine! Good luck, see you in April!
Team #869 will be there
Looking foward to the 20+ hr. bus ride all the way from NJ
We are a rookie team and hoping for the best
but i think we will do pretty good, with allready a win at a local scrimage!
today was spent fixing some broken parts and weight reduction, but we’ll be good to get loaded up in the crate tommorow
why yes, the dew help, ALOT!! any who it has been a long 6 weeks but yhea we have achive what we wanted to hope you guys did to. wow to the team coming from NJ, that’s one heck of a trip for just a regional, wel hoe to hear more from you guys, peace…
Great to see some on topic, professional posts. I’ve seen some rookies and non-rookies alike spamming the boards with, shall we say, useless garbage this year.
First, to the posters in this thread, thanks for your professionalism. I can’t wait to meet you at regionals.
Second, I’m glad to hear your season is going well. Again, best of luck at regionals, can’t wait to see what you’ve got!

Our team is going to St. Louis though I’d drop a line =P. For strategy I would just make sure you all have every robot scouted with information before qualification on what you have seen as it’s capabilities. Hope to see you all there!
