Ignore User Feature - Expanded time frame?

Is it possible to expand the Ignore feature beyond 4 months? Maybe even making it permanent until a user is removed manually?

I suspect there are a lot of people that have me on ignore and I wouldn’t want them to have to see my posts if they don’t want to. Don’t make this change for me. Make this change for them. Trust me.

Too bad those that ignore they can’t see your intercession on their behalf.

Definitely support this. Only seeing it because my ignore on Marshall ran out. Now I’m angry and will probably not get anything done at work. So thanks CD you ruined my work day.

I would greatly appreciate this functionality. The ignore/mute list is one the best tools to make any form of social media more tolerable. It’s jarring when people automatically become unhidden after 4 months.

I had no idea this many people had me on their ignore lists.

Can someone tell me what the OP posted in this thread? I can’t see it.

conversely, I find the lack of this feature, among other things to be a great contributor in my quest to Log Off™️

I can sell you one for 19.99

Discourse doesn’t plan on making this setting go further than 4 months.
If someone wants to write a plugin, I’ll install it.

Good thing the GDC doesn’t, yet. Otherwise your Q&A folks would be left hanging after that last one. (Uh, speaking of which… I thought your students combed through the whole Manual for inconsistencies and loopholes???)

Seriously, though, despite the snark and occasional wondering if you’re thinking, I do think it’s better to listen to what you’re saying, even if I don’t agree.

I love you Marshall.
