We’re considering using these bearings for the pivot on our arm. We like that they have a little give compared to metal bearings. We are wondering how they hold up under repeated and high load use. By high load I mean maybe 20 pounds on a 20" arm.

They will be fine…
but it would help to see your design, to make sure. It’s all about surface area, make sure you have enough support on the bushing (ie. put it in a tube, or if it’s in a hole, make sure it’s in relatively thick material), and that the shaft diameter is sufficient.

You can go the Igus web site and research the load ratings. We have used them on the wench to lift the robot in past games.
