I am so dedicated to FIRST and robotics that my birthday was on kick off and I have been sleeping and been on chiefdelphi and TBA.
I have a 1/4 screw that I refuse to part with. (Long story) I’ve got a matching washer for it…
A mentor (also the school district’s IT guy) threatened to block CD when Cody and I were plotting to crash the school server. (He did it first…)
After the West Michigan event, I walked into a convince store in full FIRST regalia. Hard hat with Killer Bee antenna, safety glasses, BOB rag hanging from back pocket, and of course, covered in buttons.
I spend more hours of CD than on Facebook.
Cody and I are plotting to make 47 of something known as a delphi. As in 12 is a dozen, 13 a bakers dozen…47 will be a delphi.
I’m so dedicated to FIRST that I don’t throw out a single thing related to robots and keep it all in a box >< buttons, papers, extra safety glasses that suddenly appear in my house…

I have recently been checking and posting on Chief Delphi from my phone in the middle of boring classes at school
…at first, the feeling of safety glasses on my face would stick around for a few hours after a regional…
…now it’s a permanent feeling.
I’ve driven 2,000 miles roundtrip (from New Hampshire to Indiana) to volunteer at an event. Multiple times. '07 and '08 Boilermaker Regional and '07 IRI.
im so deticated i found about 50 quarter 20 bolts all over my room
My weekends in March are spent at regional (one or more) or watching webcasts.
I can count a dozen FIRST items in my direct line of sight right now
I’ve lined up four FRC medals, two FTC pins, an FLL ribbon, and a driver badge in my bedroom.
Along with various possible colleges’ and careers’ memorabilia:D
I thought 45 was a Baker’s dozen?

On a related note, other ways I am dedicated to FIRST:
I used 2.5 of my vacation days to fly to Atlanta just to talk to students about scholarships and Kettering. (If you ever have questions about scholarships or just need advice about them send me a PM, Im more than willing to help)
I have made it a personal crusade to make it harder for the scholarship providers to choose by making sure people apply to every scholarship they could win.
Dinner conversations at my house and at my girlfriend’s house always center around robotics (OCCRA, VEX, or FRC)
The conversations at my girlfriend’s involve people from 3 different teams all with varying philosophies on how to run a team (They are REALLY fun)
Most of my best friends are from FRC
I have already started planning my world tour for next year (at least what teams I want to see)
The high point of my experience at Championship was not seeing a couple good friends from high school take World Finalist but was instead going down to award a scholarship to a young man who needed it to afford college at his university of choice.
I have to find out who my professors are for my Friday schedule this summer term so I can inform them I will be skipping their classes to attend IRI. (It is the FIRST week of classes in the summer term)
Perhaps dedicated isn’t the proper word, addicted might be better.
that real detication i got to find out how im going to pay for my college tuition for Embry-Riddle that is 50,000 a year for flight students so yea
i got my work cut out for me
and now the season is over and i have no life wat so ever now
