What a great example of going over the $3500, oh, and corporate sponsorship.
It’s for decoration. They could have done the same thing without the decoration for a lot cheaper. The work was done as a favor, don’t complain about it. If they were to have had the whole robot milled and not counted that as cost, then I’d be a bit erked, but not at decorative weight loss
The engineers from one of our sponsors made it for free. He did without suggestion, none of our team mates asked for him to do it.
It’s very pretty Just be aware that I don’t think that would qualify as your official number on the robot. Don’t take my word for it, double check the rules on it. But it is very pretty and I hope to see it in person in Houston
They would have to paint the etched part a dark color
oooh drools
lets not complain about someone taking advantage of an opportunity to make their robot look good.
We are painting it a dark color, preferably black. Thank you f22flyboy.
i like it…i’ve seen CAD pics of the rest of the bot…let’s hope it turns out as nice…congrats Stu
If you have access to CNC equipment and the right software it takes just a few minutes to program something like that. Last year we cut our team number into our front goal lifter. Programming time: 5 min, mostly choosing the font. The machining time was longer, but the machine did all the work while we were doing something else more productive:D
hey if anyone goes to Pittsburgh or WMR, stop by our pit. We have a 3 foot design dremeled into our cart by hand and other stuff like it on our bot. its pretty sweet;)
