Imaging tool shows image file but its grayed out

Hi

I’m trying to image an older RoboRio 1 with new firmware for this season.
I’m connected via USB and the tool can see the rio and I can change its startup mode and set the team number.

But when I select the Format Target option, I see the image file there, but it’s grayed out and it won’t let me select it or click ReFormat. The file is in the folder, but I can’t figure out what to do. There is no image currently on the RobotRio

Additional Info: Status LED is showing two Blinks (No Image)
I restarted in safe mode (three blinks) No change…

I had to ssh into one over the weekend and run the command:

nisystemformat -f -t ubifs && nisystemformat -f -t ubifs

Before it would let me upgrade it. I don’t really understand what why it runs twice, but I found it in a NI forum and it got us up and running.

So, we repaced the problem RoboRio, only to discover that it was actually a RoboRio2 (purchased the year before and mixed in with the others.

It seems that there should have been some indication on the Imaging tool as to why it wasn’t showing me any images to download… some thing like “Hey Dummy you can’t do that on a RoboRio 2”

Phil.
