I heard a rumor that there is a rule that says you cannot make your robot immobile??? is this true??? Someone clear it up for me…
I think the rule that your talking about says that you arn’t allowed to atach yourselves to the surfaces.
You can’t attach yourself to the perimeter of the field and walls of the ramp?.. or you can’t attach yourself to ANY surface? What about the top of the ramp? If teams use suction cups or other devices to secure themselves to the top of the ramp… isn’t that “attaching” yourself?
Please tell me it ain’t so!

The rules say that you aren’t allowed to touch yourself to BOTH of the sides of the ramp at the same time, you aren’t allowed to attatch to any field barriers (this is normal from the other years), you aren’t allowed to penetrate the wire mesh of the ramp, and there is no metal/carpet interaction allowed.
<edit>And FIRST says suciton cups to the top of the ramp is allowed.</edit>
Actually, the rule says that you are not allowed to grab onto or push hard enough against multiple surface simotaneously in order to make your robot immobile.
One surface at a time is fine
While that is just from my memory, I assure you it is only a few words off of a quote.
