Yesterday my team had our last competition. We made it finals and was only picked for our defense mechanism. Our first match was against the second team alliance (we were seventh). We won the first match, because our defense mechanism hung out the 15 inches at about a 45 degree angle stopping both the high goal shooters from shooting and changing their whole strategy. Second match we got an emergency stop in the middle of the courtyard and we lost by very little and would have won if we weren’t E stopped. By their last match, we had forced them to only shoot low goal because they couldn’t shoot in the high goal, because they knew we would just block their balls, even the first place alliance was getting scared to go against us. Sadly we lost by six points that last match, but my advice is if you are a team that is going to the world and you know you won’t do good because you got picked to go out of peer luck. BUILD A DEFENSE ARM THAT HANG OUT THE 15 INCHES AND IS AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE. It will be a HUGE game changer.
