Other on team #65, Huskie Brigade, from Pontiac Northern High School and GM Powertrain.
Bill W. previously posted a message in regards to what builds a winning team.
I think I have a few clues. I was part of a great team that was winning in so many ways, and their strong characteristics were so obvious.
-
Leadership
Dedicated and strong leaders who keep the group motivated make team team want to be exactly that, a TEAM. -
Friendliness
The ability to make strong alliances with other teams, in this the era of 2 on 2, is a vital characteristic to a team’s success. The more friendly, outgoing people you have who can connect to other teams, the better shape your team is in. -
Experience
Some rookies are really awesome, don’t get me wrong (Huskie Brigade got 3rd their rookie year). But it’s the veterans who have the smooth ride. When the teachers and leaders know how to keep their team and team efforts organized, everything is smoother- resulting in the reaping of greater benefits from team unification. Experienced drivers and engineers are also pretty cool thingsExperience preferred, not required

PASSION AND GOOD ATTITUDE!! I cannot stress this enough. I see this soooo much in the Huskies!! We have enough to spread to hundreds of other teams. I have noticed that this is important especially within leaders, because the love of the game is like the rain- it starts at the top of the tree and works its way down through all its little twigs and branches. When you love what you do, or find something to love, your excitement level rises, hence, giving you a good attitude.

One important thing to remember-
Every team is a winning team in their own way. Even if that team hasn’t earned any medals yet, I say, that if a team even produces a robot, that is a great enough achievement to pass many people by.
Congratulations to all you winners.
Peace, Love, and Gracious Professionalism.
