For the robot design, is it possible to make a large enough hole in the bedpan to have an intake system from under the center of the robot.

This seems to be a very appealing strategy this year. If you can get enough clearance under the robot while remaining legal in terms of bumper height, this would definitely be possible. It’s been used frequently in FTC and could be a great way to adjust for the bumper and max extension rules this year.
