Interesting stats

There are currently 160 teams registered for the nationals.

19% are odd numbered
6% are rookies (team number greater then 716)
19% are second year teams (team number greater then 491)
24% are third year teams (team number greater then 336.
51% have been around longer then 3 years
19% of this year’s rookies are going
13% of last year’s rookies are going
37% of last year’s second year teams are going
40% of teams that have been around longer then 3 years are going

71% of prequalified teams have registered

According to FIRST’s web site, there are 736 available regional spots. So far, 590 of them have been signed up for.

Because many teams are registered for two or more regionals, those 590 spots have been taken up by only 383 teams.

120 Teams have signed up for 2 regionals
34 Teams have signed up for 3 regionals
5 Teams have signed up for 4 regionals
1 Team has signed up for 5, yes 5 regionals (Championship too BTW)

I hope that FIRST is sitting on spots for late registering rookie teams, otherwise there is barely room for any growth this year.

I also hope that any teams that have signed up for more events than they can realistically attend will drop their excess reservations quickly so that teams can get in off of the wait lists.

The TechnoKats are dropping a regional to go from 3 to 2. Going into this year, we have budgeted for 3 Regionals, but 2 makes more sense for us at this time.

Which Team is going to 5 Regionals and championships

On that note can you tell me which teams
signed up for the 3 regionals plus and then the championship event.

Thank you
