Earlier today, we were running our robot without any issues. After a battery change, our can wiring running Talon SRXs and FXs. We are having issues getting the devices to show up on the Phoenix tuner consistently, and the robot seems to be moving sporadically. As far as we can tell, software doesn’t seem to be affecting it. We have looked through the entire can, and tried to single out a bad spot in the system. What are we doing wrong for diagnosing this issue? Any ideas on what could be wrong?
On the off-chance it’s software, you might check your CAN utilization in the driver station. If it’s pegged out at 100% usage your controllers could be struggling to pick up CAN messages.
For troubleshooting, you might try bypassing one at a time out of the CAN chain
