Sent in my volunteer application last night. Gotta take Friday off to get there because I’m working nights that week and I gotta take Monday off because I’m working days that week. I’m excited to see what’s in store at the new site of the event!
Thank you for the invitation this summer. While we really wanted to go, it just didnt make sense from a financial standpoint. Hawaii to US Mainland fares (other than West Coast) is just insane now for the summer.
It was 1800/person with 2 stopovers each way at best.
I just cancelled a work trip to New Orleans, as I just couldnt fathom spending 2400 for a 1-stop each way round trip flight. Saving eCredits for a future flight.
Our crate shipment round trip estimated at 4,500.00 which wasnt express.
Hopefully prices come down soon, OR we will need to start booking airfares way way in advance once the season schedule comes out for 2023.
I’m not on the planning committee but it is to my understanding that both Lawrence North and Lawrence Central high schools are under construction for renovations.
