Anyone find any good deals on hotels for IRI? As usual, pickings seem to be pretty slim and/or expensive around Lawrence North.

Team 48 has reserved rooms at the Super 8 Castleton, which I heard started updating their mid-90’s chic room content last year. We’ve stayed there pretty much every year we’ve gone to IRI. No one has died or contracted a major disease while staying there, so that’s a plus. But you can’t beat cheap and roomy, and it’s one of the closest hotels to Lawrence North.
There are quite a few hotels at 96th street and I-69 which are about 3-4 miles from LN. The closest hotel is probably the Drury Inn at 82nd and Shadeland, but usually seems pretty.
That is the second weekend of Summer Celebration so hotels can be packed. The further away from downtown you get the better. The advice to go up I69 to the far north/east is probably your best bet.
I’ve got a block of 8 rooms with 2 beds in each room that I’m getting ready to release at: Motel 6 Indianapolis NE - 8325 Bash St, Indianapolis. My reservation only includes Thursday and Friday nights.
If anyone is interested in these, PM me and we can look into transferring the reservation.
I’ve never stayed at this Motel 6 but we ended up getting into another property nearby so I don’t need these.
My team went with an Airbnb (there’s only a dozen to 16 of us going but I’m staying with Rolling Thunder 28 miles away east at a Hampton Inn with another volunteer who needed a place to stay.
