IRI Live Auction Draft: Looking for Teams

We’re bringing back the live auction drafts for IRI and giving away a Cooler Master MS120 Keyboard/Mouse Kit to the pick’em winner! If you are not familiar with how these work check out an example from Chezy Champs here

These live teams will set the prices where you can then pick your own sets of teams for your own. Later on. This creates a wonderful avenue where if you are a live team, you get to set the value of teams for others and if you are not a live team you get to critique the questionable and sometimes amazing decisions set in the live draft!

We are looking for 8-10 teams to participate in the live draft and set the values of the teams! The live draft will take place live on air at on Monday July 8th at 8:30pm ET. If you are interested in forming a team of 1-4 people to participate, please fill out the form below by Friday, July 5th.

Registration is full for the live draft. We will post information on the pick’em after the prices are set for teams. Watch the live broadcast on Monday July 8th at

I watched the IRI live draft last year which was entertaining so I’m looking forward to watching again this year! The similar live drafts I’ve done in the past for fantasy football let each team owner nominate who they want to place on the auction block when it’s their turn to draft which can add an additional layer of strategy to the whole process. Is that something FUN is considering for this year?

Glad you liked it and I look forward to seeing you in chat

In regards to nominations: Probably not as this increases the time involved for a show. If each team takes an additional 15 seconds to decide which team to nominate next this results in an additional 10 minutes to the live draft. We try to keep the live draft to under 90 minutes if possible due to viewership trends and with the amount of teams at IRI this will probably be closer to 120 minutes.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply!

Will teams be nominated in random order again, or will you allow players to nominate teams for bidding?

He just said above they would not do nominations as it would make the broadcast longer.
