IRI Talent Show Performances

Hi! I am a member of team 1675 and I am at IRI this year. I took video of all of the performances from the 2010 IRI Talent Show and I will be posting the on my youtube profile in the coming days. If you did a performance, enjoyed the performances and want to share them with your friends back home, or did not have the opportunity to attend IRI this year, feel free to check back here for the link to the Youtube page where the videos will be posted.

These videos were taken from my Flip camcorder and taken to the best of my ability. I apologize if the visual or audio quality is not the best or if someone’s head got in the way of the camera during your performance.

First of all, I’m really glad someone is going to be putting up the videos of the IRI talent show so I can show off, err, ‘display’ my first IRI talent show skills. This is Dane (the guy with Safety Glasses who was cracking up while my partner was singing to the judges) and I hope everyone got as much of a kick out of our singing performance as we (or at least I) did while singing.

Overall, it was a great Talent show! And congrats to Dane (not me, the one that won) for winning it with his talent! It truly was amazing! I just felt bad we had to Encore after it. Regardless, once again great job!

Probably today Katie-cakes. lol. I just need an long period of time to upload them, which I haven’t yet had. Everyone who is interested should watch for them late tonight or early tomorrow! I will post a link to them here, as well as in a new thread!

A member of my team also took video. He will be posting them on youtube soon. Hopefully between the two of us, we captured a good video of each performance. :slight_smile:

I can’t wait to watch a lot of these performances again. There were quite a few that were very entertaining.

I heard at least 3 different people recorded the Gaga / Ke$ha skit. While I’m happy for your enthusiasm, I was kind of hoping I’d never see that act again. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll admit it was a train wreck for an entirely different reason than I anticipated. I just never like seeing my own terrible Lavery impressions. :stuck_out_tongue:

I enjoyed many of the performances but one that was fun from beginning to end was the Hilltoppers. Really fun stuff.

Does anyone remember the shepherd’s crook that was used to pull performers from the stage many years ago in Vaudeville acts? I remembered that during one or two of the acts and how fun that would have been. Gosh, I’m old.

I must say it was a lot of fun to go to IRI and be in the talent show.

All I can say is that I’m glad my coils didn’t blow up on stage :smiley:

Alot of the talents are showing up on youtube! After the show alot of people were asking me for the lyrics of our song so what better time to give them when our video is finaly out :smiley:

I hope to hear all of frog force singing that anytime the DJ plays it that song at their competitions. Maybe even sing it at Kickoff.

Those lyrics rock (much better than mine :rolleyes: )! I agree with Bjenks548, you need to get the entire team to sing that at competitions :stuck_out_tongue: It would sound SO cool…

Thanks :smiley: It was really just a fun song we created at Worlds and we really dident think anything of it untill IRI came around :smiley:

Part of the GREAT FUN of the Talent Show is the Judges with their “comments”. Some of us on the far side of the stage could not read the comments due to angle and distance. What would be great if we could set up a view screen behind the acts showing the judges and the entertainment they provide.

I actually made the recommendation for next year to set up a skype session between the judges to show the comments on the screen behind the performer. We’ll see if that happens.

Did anybody happen to take video of the last performance? I had to step out :rolleyes: , but I heard that DSK made an appearance.
