Is a system to flip the cones required

hello I’m from 7418 and this is my first post I have a question about how necessary it’s going to be to have a system that flips the cone upright because in the rules the cone just has to be on the pole. So would it just be better to leave the cone hanging a bit or have it fully on with a system because i was thinking you could just have the cone at an angle and have it that it falls down and on the pole just enough.

Per 6.4.1 the criteria for scoring is:

The top of the CONE NODE is contained within the
volume defined by the conical surface of the CONE

This indicates that the top of the pole just needs to be in the cone in some manner without a stipulation on how much.

Even if you want the cone upright you don’t need a mechanism to flip it. You can pick it up sideways and, if dropped correctly onto to pole it should fall into a good position. Gravity will do its thing.

I don’t see a realistic way to consistently score without placing them fully upright. The worst thing you could do is miss a placement at the end of a 20 second cycle. I would strongly suggest grabbing them from the shelf of the feeder station
