Is my Solenoid wired correctly?

I have a double solenoid festo valve, I’m pretty sure code the fine however I’m not too sure on the wiring. We have 24v going into the wago, and both double pin connectors from the festo going into slot 1 and 2 (+) and sig. Nothing seems to be lighting up. The festo does work manually.

that looks like the analog bumper, not the pneumatics bumper…???

You have it in the wrong module and Breakout.
That’s an analog module.

P.S. Great descriptive picture you took, by the way!

You have the solenoid module in slot 1. It goes in slot 3 and the analog module goes in slot 1.

Here’s what the correct one looks like. Note the green LEDs on the module and the shorter Breakout with 2-pin connectors rather than 3-pin connectors.
Make sure you move the 24v wago to the solenoid Breakout. The Analog Breakout should only get 12v.

Thanks for the help!

Here I what we are currently at and still nothing… The wago is getting 24v. Nothing is lighting up. Could this be the code or will something light up regardless of the code being deployed?

Silly! You got to plug it into the cRIO! :stuck_out_tongue:

But in all seriousness, if it has 24V on it, then it should be working (electrically). Do the LEDs on the NI 9472 module light up when you trigger a solenoid?

If so, then the problem is electrical.

If not, the problem is at least programming.

Those LEDs will light up regardless of what is plugged into the top of it.

It should be in slot 3, or the 3rd slot from the ethernet and power connections for the cRIO.

I hope this helps.

The NI 9472 should be in the third slot down from the Ethernet plug in?

Yes.

To check everything, you can use the cRIO imaging tool to verify the correct module configuration. They will all be GREEN to indicate that everything is plugged in properly. You’ll see RED on modules that are in the incorrect order.

Thanks a bunch!
