is this goint to be a blockbuster year?

i was wondering who thinks this will be one of thew biggest movie years out there. i mean with spiderman, star wars episode ii, scooby doo, mib 2, the second lord of the rings movie (in december), and the hulk how can you argue against it.

The year of the sequal eh?!

I’m sure you can guess what my prediction will be for the biggest movie of the summer by taking a look at my avatar!

that movie looks like it is going to be helarious.

I am looking forward to The Bourne Identity in October (that’s when it’s going to come out in Germany).

of course its going to be…look at the possible talent in the past two weeks

Let’s see you have the Spider-man movie which has already blown up big time. You got a Star Wars sequel that already has the tinseltown version of Deadheads lining around the block waiting for it to open. You got the Harry Potter sequel, the Men In Black sequel, the 2nd LOTR movie, THe Matrix sequel and that’s not counting any sleeper hits. This year is one for the books. Now quality on the other hand is another matter( Spider-man was fun but I also saw a couple of stinkers this year in Kung Pow and Resident Evil and I’m easy to please. THat’s not a good sign.)

You didn’t like Resident Evil?? I liked it better than Blade 2… RE was pretty good… story could’ve been a little better but I thought it was pretty good for a game -> movie movie. Still Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy: Spirits Within are the best game -> movie.

You forgot Star Trek 10…It’s due out in Novemeber…

Speaking of video game to movies, Any one remember the video game Medievil??? I want that to be a movie!!! Even if it’s just to re-live what happens in the games. The original Medievil was the best game ever!!!

And remember the Jason X and Halloween: Resurrection are coming out this year too…

Uh… why would you want to bother with anything other than Lord of the Rings?

Yes, it will be a good year for movie, and so will the next. After that? Who knows!

i thought last year was the year of the sequel. Or was that the year before? i just remember some time recently everyone was commenting that all the movies coming out were sequels.

But yes, this year is going to rock!! i loved spiderman even before it came out; likewise MIB, stuart little, and LOTR II. Scooby…hrm…well, i’ll wait and see.

This year was definately Disney’s year of the sequel. With Peter Pan 2, Cinderella 2, there were more but I forgot…

Here’s my question to Disney; How can you put a sequel on a movie that ends “and they lived happily ever after.”?!!?!!?!?
