do you guys think something like this would be allowed? http://www.tolomatic.com/products/sub_page_detail.cfm?tree_id=108&page_id=86&sub_page_no=12
thanks!
Sorry, not this year. All pneumatic actuators must be identical to the ones offered on the Bimba Free Cylinder Order Sheet. No exceptions unfortunately.
hmmm, would we be allowed to machine something ourselves like that?
Nope, sorry… No custom pneumatic parts- only what comes in the KOP.:o
Unless you mean it to be actuated by a KOP cylinder that is…
Yes, as long as it is actuated by an allowed cylinder or kit motor. Generally speaking however, if you can afford the rod in the design, then you already have a linear actuator- the cylinder! If you want to beef the thing up so your cylinder doesn’t get trashed, thats absolutely fine. So long as you don’t modify the cylinder.
You’re also allowed to use the old KOP Parker cylinders, per . They had Ø1.5 in bore and 8 in stroke (Parker part number 1.5DPSR8.00).
If you want that type of motion it wouldnt be hard to attatch one of these http://igus.bdol.com/drylinn.asp to one of the allowed cylinders
