Our team has been using the NavX2 sensor for a while now. Last year, we started encountering a strange issue where the NavX2 would randomly disconnect and then reconnect from the roboRIO. We recently purchased a brand-new NavX2 sensor, but the problem persists.
Has anyone experienced similar issues or found potential solutions to this problem? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

We have experienced this issue if the retention screw is not used or isn’t tight. If you’re interested a student of ours developed a good and easy to print 3d printable robo rio cover with the navx installed
We saw this issue in a really weird case this year, we had an errant “sleep” in our main loop. It was only about a tenth of a second whenever we picked up a note, but it would cause our Nav X to disconnect and reset heading to 0.
It turned out that something in the Nav X driver was timing out from this. I’m not sure the exact details.
It was very difficult to track down as the error had nothing to do with the Nav X and the restarts seemed random in the logs.
