Issues with Phoenix Tuner

Yesterday I updated the firmware for and imaged the roboRIO with the latest 2019 versions. I then used Phoenix Tuner to install the diagnostic software. However, once it successfully installed, and I went to the tab to edit the CAN devices, it said “Device not selected.” I do not have access to the computer right now, but I have pictures I took yesterday:

What am I doing wrong? I just want to set the IDs of the TalonSRXs and update their firmware.

Edit: Fixed! As ozrien suggested, it was a wiring issue. Just to note, even though it was a wiring issue, all TalonSRXs blinked orange, which is supposed to mean that they are all connected but the robot is disabled. I was going to check each TalonSRX at a time, but as I pulled apart the wires, a wire came out of its crimp. Once it was recrimped, I was able to see all of my CAN devices! Thank you!

You beat me to it actually, same problem.
Can confirm that I did the same on other roborio successfully.
Please OP, I can’t test my problem yet, can you try contact the server as explained here:
https://phoenix-documentation.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ch06_PrepRobot.html
using http://172.22.11.2:1250/?action=getdevices, what is the output?

I don’t think you selected the device.

  1. It says no device selected
  2. The device name didn’t populated next to the change name button

Left-click on the device you want to manipulate in the CAN Devices list view.
Or select it from the top-center dropdown.

If there are no devices present than you likely have a wiring issue. Follow the documented troubleshooting steps in CAN bringup.

This must be it. No devices show up. I’ll talk to our electrical lead about it tonight. cnc4 said that he did the same thing on two rios and only one worked. Thank you!

Are you saying that you tried the same thing on two rios, and only one worked? I’ll test it tonight when I get access to our robot.

Yep only one worked, actually talons lights indicates disabled mode though sudden red light appears, indicating no CAN comm?

It is important that you follow these steps in order.

Start at the top, and do each step in order. They are all important. Did you check the device LEDs, as the instructions point out?

To understand why read this is important, read…

Then I would give cnc4 the same advice.

“LEDs are red now what?”

Fixed, check edit

Thank you! Your suggestion earlier about the wiring was correct!
