Yesterday i was wiring our robot and i wanted to test to make sure that the Jags had power and when I powered up the robot only one Jaguer started running for some reason. Does anyone know why this would happen??? NO ONE WAS INJURED OR HURT!!!
were all if the jags have the light on them on? or were they not getting any power at all?
no quite the opposite they supplied power through the jags and powered our CIMS with no signal but only one jag did this i dont know why.
we didnt wire the si card in but the jags should be neutral with no signal right???
Check to make sure you wired the jag correctly - if you hooked the motor inputs to power, and the motor to the power inputs, this will happen (and the Jag will be fried).
if your jags are getting power and they are neutral they should have an amber light
You know what stinks? Doing that to all four jags on your drive train at the same time!
we are only using 2 jags with our drivetrain since there are only 2 CIMS on our drivetrain. we figured out the problem was that i mounted them wrong which led me to wire it wrong dont worry the jags and cims both still work!!!
The Jaguar may still work, but over time you may see the effects of powering the motor side. Be sure to mark that Jag so that you can tell it apart from the others.
If it acts up in the future, it is most likely from damage it sustained when connected improperly.
