Joystick is connected but driver station says its not

Hi our team uses the “extreme 3d pro” from logitech and although he is connected it gives me this warning :
Joystick Button 12 on port 1 not available, check if controller is plugged in

what can i do?

are you sure that your joystick has 12 buttons? and is the controller in the correct slot of driver station?

change the port of your joystick to 0. Its really confusing but buttons are indexed from 1, while joysticks are indexed from 0.
