Personally I love this show. It shows the thought process and I’ve seen some pretty creative ideas. I wouldn’t mind being on the show provided I was with some of the creative people I work with on team 25.
Hmmmm… maybe the 1st and 2nd place FIRST teams from the national should get invited onto the show for an episode. That’d be cool.

Our mentor, Rich from JPL was invited to be one of the “experts” on that show, we were so proud of him!
Hmmmmm… what would be a good challenge to a group of highschool students that just built a complicated robot? Speaking of which, where do they get the ideas for some of those challenges? My favorites would have to be the Rock climbing racing boat challenge for the championship and the cannon.
I got it! FIRST winners get to build a junkyard segway! lol! 
For a team-building exercise last Sunday we got to meet a junkyard wars veteran, a a man named Jeff who was a team member of the first American team on the show. He talked to us about Junkyard Wars and what it was like and then we got to watch the pilot episode of the show, which has never been aired on US television before, it was a fun experience which got soem of us crazy kids to thinking about building more fun stuff and we also sparked some interest into Jeff about the FIRST program through our robot descriptions and excitement.
/me goes looking for the nearest junkyard…

All programmers are optimists. Perhaps this modern sorcery
especially attracts those who believe in happy endings and fairy god-mothers. Perhaps the hundreds of nitty frustrations drive away all but those who habitually focus on the end goal. Perhaps it is merely that computers are young, programmers are younger, and the young are always optimists. But however the selection process works, the result is indisputable: "This time it will surely run," or "I just found the last bug.".how could would that be if the owner let you and a couple friends just stroll in and start building something from his junk…
I don’t know, but we receve $10,000 of it every Janurary! 
it is a great show, and a great idea.
