Sad but not surprised to have to let you know that we are indefinitely postponing the Kendrick Castillo Memorial Tournament at East High School in Denver. Energy Day 2021 has been canceled, and state, city, district, and school guidance has made it clear that there can be no activities of this type given the current circumstances. We look forward to a time when Covid-19 no longer prevents us from meeting and competing, but we understand the importance and necessity of keeping ourselves all as safe as possible.
A quick point of clarification: I hope it didn’t confuse y’all but I definitely meant 2020 and not 2021. I was thinking of the 2020/2021 school year I suppose, sorry for the error.
I recently saw some news shared by a friend of mine who I went to school with from Hawaii, who now lives in Colorado and 2 kids attend STEM School Highlands Ranch. We also had a chance to visit the school and with the FRC team and mentors as part of our WFA trip in 2019.
Hopefully the tournament can happen later in 2021.
