Hi, as the title suggests, I’m having trouble keying the scale of a UVW map. When I try to, it just uses whatever size I just framed it as as a constant for the whole animation sequence. Is it just not possible/is there another tool I should be using, or am I just not doing it right?
Near the big key button, there is a list of things that are effected by setting keys. Only a few of them are selected by default. Try checking each box, so that everything is affected(?effected?).
I have tried keying it with the gizmo under the subtree of the UVW mapping modifier selected, but it only let’s me key in one direction: either the gizmo gets bigger or it gets smaller, it can’t do both. Also, the gizmo does not centre around the box.
I’m sorry man I still don’t understand what you problem is or what you are trying to do. You need to point out exactly whats wrong like were idiots, otherwise were not going to understand.
Tell us what you want to accomplish. Example “I want to make egg shaped eyes for a character useing a sphere.”
then tell us what your doing. example. “I created a sphere and applied the stretch modifier to it. Then I constrained the sphere to a point using a look at constraint.”
then tell us what the problem is. Example “When I move the point, the sphere rotates but It keeps popping out of the egg shaped eye sockets that I made for my character.”
Then ask the question. example “Is there any way to attach the gizmo of the stretch modifier of the sphere to the character instead of the sphere? That way when it rotates the polygons seem to move over the shape of the egg. Like Donald duck eyes?”
And perhaps a picture will help of what you want to accomplish.
“I want to make his eyes and have them rotate them with out the eyes rotating out of the socket.”
Then you will get a good response like "Don’t use the stretch modifier, use a FFD gizmo that is located in the create tab in space warps (Or helpers, I don’t know, i use them all the time but I don’t know where they are located unless I do it.) Place the sphere completely inside the gizmo. Then space warp bind the sphere to the FFD gizmo. Go into the lattice parameters in the FFD gizmo in the modifier stack window and stretch out the FFD gizmo.
Viola Donald duck eyes that rotate like they should"
Really try to communicate your question. I have no idea what you are trying to do with the screen shots you submitted.
