Hello Everyone,
While planning for kick off, we’re wondering if our school’s network will allow streaming for the kick off.
Is there somewhere I can test to see if the network will allow the stream?
Thanks,
Sunny
Hello Everyone,

Are you trying to stream through a TV/projector (coax) or through ethernet / computer?
I assume you mean computer, and in order to test, you can go here:
and you will see the education channel. If you can see the stream, you should be ok. It will flip to the Kickoff when it begins on Saturday. If not, you could also look up the local provider of nasa channel, and try their online feed.
Remember though that if you are in a gym or something, you have to have an ethernet plug within 250ish feet, and try to avoid wireless because of the bandwidth.
We’re going through a computer.
And is that the only link to watch the webcast or will there be another link that’ll allow us to watch through FIRST?
FIRST itself does not have a link. NASA is their official broadcast partner, because they have their own stations.
If the education channel does not work, you can also try the public channel:
But if one works, the other should also.
Best of luck, and let us know if you have trouble.
In general, the link has been exclusively via NASA TV. It’s not efficient for FIRST to re-stream it.
