For those of you who remember the Kickoff Central site that I set up last year, it has returned! The new Kickoff Central site is now online, and while it’s still being worked on, you will be able to get a feel for the new setup. And of course, the Site Watcher has returned in the new Update Checker, checking FIRST’s web page on a regular basis for any updates. The link to the page is below, and if there’s anyone that has any ideas as to other things that can be added, feel free to drop me an e-mail and I’ll see what I can do…

I had this long and pretty good post all written out and then NetZero had to go and decide it didn’t like me as I was clicking submit…oh well :o)
Awesome job Nate…I love the chat server especially…any way we could keep that running on 66’s site (or even Holland’s judging my the URL…)? ;o) The Rambots chat has been a bit grumpy lately, and Anton’s working on it.
I just wish I could work kickoff and go on your page at the same time, though I don’t think that’s going to work :o) Keep up the great work Nate :o)

The chat server is actually running through a third party…it’s a kickoff-specific chat, but I would be willing to keep it running until Anton(and I) get a new server up and running…I was talking to him about that last night, and we’ve got a new idea in the works…more information to come. BTW, did you find the images and avatars in the chat? (Hint: look at the two popup lists at the bottom of the window.)

I know the feeling…I’ve already rounded up somebody to keep an eye on the site for me once I get into New Hampshire…but it still won’t be the same…oh well =)

I’ve gotten quite a response already to the new site, and I just wanted to let everybody know that all of the links are now working, even if there’s no information behind them yet…You’ll get a ‘Coming Soon’ page if nothing else…enjoy, and keep looking for more information on any other features I add to the server between now and Kickoff…knowing me, I’m sure there will be a few new ‘perks.’ =)
