FIRST has released information regarding the kickoffs. You can now register for a kickoff as well.

They also now have a neat little script called the Event Locator that lets you view information on FIRST teams and regionals.

I was looking forward to going to the “local remote” kickoff in New York City that was listed on the event schedule prior to today. Didn’t make the final cut of remote sites though. Anyone know why?

I have been dying for a way to “search teams by state” since there was a list of them like that in the media tent…thank you!
…though I am still waiting for a MapQuest-esque search where if you put in your town, you can find the closest teams to you…
When will the actual kickoff be? You know the time they reveal the field. Also what timw will it be at ? I want to know so we dont have to wake up the whole team at 4am and be at the remote kickoff by 6am. Also will the remote kickoffs be open friday? And to the Hawaii teams hope you have alot of coffe because 3am is pretty early to start the day.

i think it usually starts at like 8 or 9 am on saturday
looking at the schedule, I would guess that the FRC presentation is when they show the field. Its at 11am eastern.
I would say closer to 12, though…maybe 11:30 am…theres always a couple of speakers and stuff to show…and then after they show the field they go straight into Q & A and then they close to hand out the kits, from what I remember
