I was wondering if anyone that is going to a kickoff will come back and post some good pictures of the field, maybe here at cheif delphi they will set up a gallery where pics can be put up. I know in the past its been hard to find some good pictures. So if someone could put them up ASAP after the kickoff that would be great, more importantly so we can show what the field looks like when we try and teach the game to team members.
I will be taking a lot of pictures at kickoff, specifically, the 128mb of digital camera memory (= 200 pics) will be filled as I leave kickoff. So, if there is a computer with good internet and USB port, I will be able to upload the pictures ASAP on Saturday. I can’t promise you right after they show the game… you should probably record the web cast, or at least take screen shots of desktop with Realplayer playing the stream (screen shot of desktop can be done with win2000, just press Print Scrn, or other softwares for other operation system).
So, either way, I will have pictures up by Sunday night. They will be pictures of: FIRST place, some FIRST-a-holics, volunteers, playing field, close pictures of field objects, Dean/woodie, and some random pictures as I admire the great view of snow every where.
Ken… The way this winter is going I wouldn’t be to sure about finding snow everywhere around Manchvegas… We just had the first snowfall of the season Sat. night and its all going to be goen and back in the 60’s this week … and I never thouhgt I’d miss a good ol’ New England winter…
Two years ago, at the kick off and trying to wade through the huge mob on the field, I took Woody and Eric Rasmussen aside and suggested that FIRST post shots of the field on or shortly after the kickoff day. They seemed to think it was a great idea but nothing was ever done.
Last year we posted shots of the field, playing pieces and such(www.raiderrobotix.com). I’ll do it again if necessary but wouldn’t it be great if FIRST would follow through and post shots of a field not cluttered with bodies?

If you guys are listening- how about it? **
I believe that NASA did this in 2000. There were empty field pictures up the day of kickoff.
