yes you can not “uncap” the tetras if they are seated the right way on the goals but if they are not on the right way then u can take them off or adjust them, there is a 10 pt penalty for uncapping and the other teams gets to OWN the goal for the rest of the match.
<G18> ROBOTS can remove or displace TETRAS CONTAINED in a goal, but cannot remove TETRAS
STACKED on a goal. If an alliance ROBOT removes any STACKED TETRA of the opposing alliance, the
TETRA will be SCORED (3 points) and the opposing alliance automatically OWNS the GOAL for the
remainder of the match regardless of what color TETRAS are on the goal. There is no penalty for removing a
TETRA that is precariously positioned on a GOAL or TETRA, but not fully STACKED.
you are not allowed to knock off tetras
if you do you give the opponent a lot of points as well as permanent control of the goal no matter who has the tetra on top

well the only reason i can think of to remove your own tetra is if you already have that scoring tetra owned even if you take your tetra off, and you are out of tetras(which is almost impossible) and you want to break up an opposing three in a row then you would wan to use that tetra so you can stop you opponent from getting those ten points which are so crucial in the outcome of the match
You can’t remove any tetra from the top of a goal, if it’s stacked properly. If it’s “precariously” sitting on top of a goal, you can take it… Hopefully it will be completely obvious when a tetra is not fully seated, though it would be difficult to get it balanced to remain precariously seated…
