Can someone please post the KOP bill of materials. We are trying to inventory our kit before we unpack. Thanks.
(US First is completely inaccessible right now).
Thanks.

If you’re looking for the BOM of the kit chassis, there is one inside the KOP box. You can also view the PDF here, http://files.andymark.com/PDFs/AM14U2_UserGuide2015_Rev3.pdf
Hope that helps!
Thanks but we are looking for the complete BOM so that we can inventory all of the parts.

Check this other thread http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=131929 it has the lists
(I won’t mention that my post was first. )
We are putting together our very first BOM and want to make sure we’re doing it right. KOP–on the BOM or not? Items from previous year KOP? Thanks.
Have you read rule R9? If so, are you having trouble understanding it? I am…
I think you have to include all the KOP items that you used on the robot, on the BOM.
edit: but not according to the Tournament rules…
I think the first line in the blue box means you put a cost of Zero for new KOP items.
I think the last line in the blue box says that you put a cost of Zero for KOP items retrieved from previous robots.
The newest team update addresses this.
T11 The ROBOT Bill of Materials (BOM), listing all items on the ROBOT except those listed in R9-A and -B, and their relevant costs per Section 4.4: Budget Constraints must be presented at the time of Inspection
R9 The total cost of all items on the ROBOT shall not exceed $4000 USD. All costs are to be determined as explained in Section
4.4: Budget Constraints. Exceptions are as follows:
A. individual COTS items that are less than $1 USD each and
B. KOP items
So my interruption is no, you don’t have to list any KOP of items on the team’s BOM.
Also KOP is defined as
Kit of Parts (KOP) – the collection of items listed on any Kit of Parts Checklist, distributed via FIRST Choice, or obtained via a Product Donation
Voucher (PDV).
This Q&A should clear some things up. Right now very little has to be listed on most BOM.
I have only skimmed the BOM rules for this year. but they seem similar for years past. My understanding is you have to list KOP parts in the BOM. They do not go against your cost.
For example (I am sorry for using a past years example but it works for clarity) Non rookies did not get a CRio, You need to include it in the BOM, but it as a 0 cost.
The tournament rules seem to let us exclude KOP items.
Perhaps we’ll have a lawyer or two speak up, and make sure?
For our own documentation purposes, we include the KOP items on the BOM with $0 cost, even though it may not be required. Helps to be able to reference exactly what we used without having to dig up old robots in our shop.
The Q&A has been answered. My current interruption of the rules, If items were in the KOP (including all KOP lists back to 1992, including items that were in FIRST Choice in any year) then they don’t have to be documented or cost accounted in any quantity. If you obtained the item using a voucher, you don’t have to cost account or document. All other items (>$1) do need to be cost accounted and documented.
This still is interesting (not in the effect anyone sort of way, but the interesting rules sort of way). Items I currently don’t think you have to cost account or document in any quantity.
All legal speed controllers since they were in FIRST Choice this year or in the KOP. Any control system component that was in the KOP including additional PCMs or VRMs. CIMs, MiniCIMs, & BAG motors, and most other motors since they have been listed previously in KOP. 1"x1"x1/8" aluminum angle, 1/2" round and hex bearings, #35 chain.
The older KOP lists are interesting, they include items like 1/4" aluminum plate, 1/2" round aluminum shaft, 2"x4" aluminum box tube, 1" sch 40 aluminum pipe, and more.
This is a good rule change in my opinion. The BOM is already barely useful in how poorly most teams complete it, how quickly most inspectors look at it, and how far away most teams are from the budget limit anyway. This should speed up inspection, I’ve hated having to not give out inspection stickers because someone’s BOM didn’t include their cRIO. This is a good rule change with some interesting, though not impactful, effects.
It looks like for this year that it is completely possible to have a BOM with only the team information on it, that is assuming I understand R9 correctly and have only used KOP items from any year !
Wow what a change. Must be one those “change is coming” statement at kickoff.
