LabVIEW Add on licenses are expired

We have been using LV to program since Jan. Now, when we open it we get this message

Any ideas? I have selected activate and checked my account for licenses and it says it can not find one. I have completed the support form, but am hoping I can get an answer quicker than 1-2 days:)
It will not let us open LV without getting past this.

I do not think you need to activate that EtherNET/IP Adapter Toolkit 20.0 as it is not part of the FRC software suite (I don’t see it in my machine after installing LabVIEW for FRC).

For others having similar issues: My first recommendation would be to ask your headcoach/lead mentor for the license code they get for the team from the FIRST portal and try entering that (ensure the computer is connected to the internet when you try to activate with it).

Find My FRC Team’s NI Serial Number to Activate Software

Yes. That is what we used for the Serial number. The ‘code’ off the firstinspires team portal. It says it is not correct.

By chance, have you been having a chat with Lori at FIRST HQ? If so, I believe you’re about to get a reply to come to the NI forums.

Oscar has the right answer here. You don’t need the EtherNET/IP Adapter Toolkit for the FRC software stack. I imagine someone saw this as an item to check and install with the LabVIEW Software for FRC suite and that installed a licensing check. You shouldn’t see any lost functionality from it not being activated, and could even uninstall it if you wished.

I wouldn’t expect it to activate as the license provided doesn’t activate that toolkit as it’s not something we anticipate anyone needing. If you’re actually using it for something, can you share what you’re doing with that specific toolkit so I can funnel that feedback to our folks?

No, but if it will help me I will talk to her:)
We do not need it. It just popped up. I am sure someone clicked on something to get us here, I just can’t figure out how to make LV know we do not want it. I even tried to just open our program through documents and it won’t open it without getting past the add-on license.
So, now I know it is not something needed, I will try to uninstall just that. Hopefully there is the option in the uninstall launcher that allows me to select just this add-on. fingers crossed

It won’t help any more than this chat will =) I was just seeing if I have a second, similar, question coming my way soon or if this was the same chat and I could keep us just here =)

In NI Package Manager, there should be an option to uninstall just the EtherNET/IP Toolkit. That should also remove the license check. If that doesn’t work, send me a message and we can find a way to talk more real-time to get that resolved.

I searched everywhere in the package manager and can not find it. However, it is a new day so let’s just open LV again and see what happens. We got the same message, but this time I noticed an option arrow. One of the options was do not remind me again when we selected it the message and LV opened!

Sometimes, it is the simplest of things in life.
