LabVIEW Key 2014

Hello All,

I’m one of 4901’s software mentors and I was recently trying to re-image a cRIO and my imagine tool got stuck in the searching function. After a little research I’ve come to the conclusion that my LabVIEW Utilities Installation is not activated and therefore I cannot use the tool without activating the LabVIEW installation. I know in the past that the key for FRC teams was universal and it was easy to find it if you happened to lose your packet like it seems my team has.

This year I’ve heard it’s team specific. Is anyone who hasn’t used up all the seats on their LabVIEW installation willing to PM me their key? It’s only going on one computer. Something also makes me thing that everyone’s key has an unlimited number of seats, unless I’m mistaken on that. I’ve got to do some testing with a bit of code the team has written and without re-imaging the cRIO we are quite stuck.

Thanks in advance,

John Fogarty

You could potentially request a serial number through this form from NI.

We received great support from NI in the offseason last year. I would contact them through ni.com or through email.

I’ve never seen that form before. Thanks.

#1000th post.

So, I’ve filled out that form and it’s taking quite a while for me to get a response. Is it still possible for a team to share their key with me via PM?

I don’t have access to it right now, but I’ll try to PM ours to you in about an hour.

Not really.

Not possible.

You are correct.

If you are still stuck, I can create a short-term expiring key for you (I don’t have the FIRST key handy, but all activated LabVIEW installs can see the serial in the upper part of the splash screen when LabVIEW is started). PM me and I can do that.

If you still have the rest of LV installed and registered, just click Help, then About. The screen that pops up has your Ser. # on it.
See the attachment.
