I am having trouble with my Lamprey Absolute Encoder. I am using this exact example code from CTRE plugged directly into a Talon SRX. When I run the code the motor does turn but it doesn’t stop at any position. When I run Phoenix Tuner it does read the Encoder and gives me values, but for some reason that code isn’t working.
This could be any number of things, I’d first confirm that the output from the encoder looks reasonable and is on the same order of magnitude of the value you’re driving it to. If the motor just keeps spinning my guess is that it is spinning the wrong direction so it continuously gets further away from the target and won’t stop.
