Last time my team was at a championships event

After looking over TheBlueAlliance.com history, it has come to my attention that my team, team 810, has not been to a Championship event since triple play. Now there has been a lot of problems that have arose this year that ultimately we have lost our mentor who has been with us since our rookie year. Im not sure that we are on the wait list, but I’m not sure if we are automatically entered in, or do we have to put in for it. How do we sign up for it?

Championship Waitlist Registration Deadline

Date: December 5th, 2013 at 12:00pm ET (noon)

This is the final day for teams to join the waitlist for FIRST Championship.

If you have any questions, please contact FRC Team

A little late to make it. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Hope to see you back and stronger next year,

Aloha

Thanks, hopefully we signed up, but I’m not sure… Things were really bad this year.

Per Frank’s blog

Just a reminder that we expect very few waitlist slots to be available. The number available may be just a couple, or even zero.

If you didn’t get on the waitlist, don’t stress - it’s not really a viable option this year (and probably won’t be for a while unless the qualification structure for CMP changes in the future).

It just stinks, because now I’m a senior, and i have been with the team for 6 years… to answer questions, what we do is we let kids come on when they are in 7th grade so we can trim them. they do not get machine time, and they learn measurements and tools. our school might be implementing a FLL Team, but right now we don’t have one.

I believe you have to sign up for the wait list through TIMS.

You can have a mentor, if you have one left :frowning: , and check to see if the team was signed up before the deadline.

Sadly Frank did post about the possibility of no slots open for waitlist.

I sure hope you are on the list!

Thanks, I’m hoping too… If not ill have to come back as a mentor!

Please do!!!

Out here on the Big Island mentors are extremely hard to come by. There is no industry on the island. Fisherman and hotel staff just are not really into robots, their loss. We are trying to school them though… Lots of outreach!

If we lost one of the three we have, I am sure the program would collapse.

Let me know how this pans out. I will keep an eye out for your team in the future. PM me, perhaps we can help mentor via Skype or something.

Keep your head up. These types of issues are life building skills.

Aloha

Will do… if you ever do need help, we can Skype. We would be happy to help!
