Leaving Twitter, going to Bluesky

Hello all. With the dumpster fire that is now X, or Twitter, our mentors think we should leave the site. We managed to get an invitation code for the new, more moderated Bluesky Social site, and are now on there. You can’t just sign up for the site, since it’s still in Beta testing. You can submit your email and just wait, or use an invitation code to join. We have some invitation codes available for teams who would like to migrate there. There are only a handful of teams on there now. Please let me know if you would like a code. Codes are for teams, not individuals.

I don’t think I’m allowed to join. It’s raining so the sky is gray. I’ll wait for a sunny day and try again.

Bluesky is very niche, I still haven’t gotten a personal code to go make an account myself to see if it really is of use. The problem is we’d make an account but none of our sponsors or people who currently follow our Twitter/X would have access to interact with it. Can’t say I’d want to waste one of your invites just for our team to never use it.

I don’t like what Twitter is becoming but it still has a crowd and we have a decent size following there that isn’t going to move with us if every user needs their own invite codes.

I have a feeling this is why you’re not going to get many responses. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s our biggest downside to it.
