I was wondering, are we allowed to have LED’s on our robot that displays text, things like “GO TEAM” or something, or does that go against the rules of FRC?
As long as text is GP and doesn’t interfere with driver vision or other robots, you should be fine.
Yes you may!
Last year we had set up 5 strips of addressable RGB LED strips on each side of the robot connected to an Arduino. This system ran a custom scrolling marquee of various things like, TIKI TECHS . . . 3880 . . . . ALOHA. . . .
Simple things like that… as mentioned long as it is GP.
