So our team is trying leds for the first time and we were wondering if anyone knows where the red and white power cables are supposed to go from the led strips or where the orange cable goes from the CANdle, does anyone have any answers?
It looks redundant to me. That is what our LEDs had and extra pair of power leads. The red and white. Wth a jst sm 3 pin connector with power and data pins.
Is the LED strip lighting up?
Unfamiliar with the orange able for the candle.
I believe the orange cable on the candle is a 12v out while the blue is 5v. You use one over the other depending on the operating voltage of the led strip. Check the manual on ctre’s website to know for sure. The extra red and white wires on the led strip are for hooking up an addition power source if the amount of leds would require more amperage than the control device can supply.
thank you! We will check the voltage of the LED strips, and make sure to use the correct voltage output wire
I have a similar question, should I wire the CANdle to the 12v2a bus on my VRM or the 12v500ma one?
The CANdle is designed to be powered directly off battery voltage (so straight off the PDP/PDH terminals).
Use normal PDP 12V, not VRM.
Ok thanks
