LEGO Power Up!

Hello all of Chief Delphi!

It’s that time of the year where we learned the game, and have recreated a LEGO set of it. Created by team members, mentors, and alumni, we create a replica of the field and elements. With your help, we can get enough supporters to make this LEGO idea a reality!

The LEGO set can be found https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ec760584-0a01-4432-a94a-ca07d7aad681

This LEGO set includes:

Half of the FIRST Power Up field
1 Scale (Movable like the real game element)
1 Switch (Movable like the real game element)
30 Power Cubes
1 Alliance Wall
3 mock robots of the Red Alliance with 12 Minifigures
3 mock robots of the Blue Alliance with 12 Minifigures
Minifigures of Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers, two of the FIRST founders.
This set of approximately 800 LEGO bricks is enough to replicate one half of the playing field (Blue Alliance is shown in the images). With bricks to change alliance colors (To Red Alliance), this set can be used to complete the other half of the field. By getting two sets, a person can replicate the complete playing field.

Six example robots are included in this set. Three robots are for the Red Alliance, and three robots are for the Blue Alliance. These robots are loosely based on the game reveal video. One can even design their own FIRST POWER UP bot to complete the challenges in the LEGO model, just like in the FIRST Robotics Competition game!

FIRST and LEGO already have a strong partnership through FIRST LEGO League Junior(http://www.juniorfirstlegoleague.org/) and the FIRST LEGO League (http://www.firstlegoleague.org/). With this third iteration of our annual LEGO FIRST set, our set designers further adapt and expand the use of LEGOs not only in competition with younger students, but also with practical application and efficient discussion of strategy for the current game. Team 810 is doing this to support FIRST, not for finical gain.

Hi all,
Now that build season has come to a close, please help support our LEGO Power Up set here: http://https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ec760584-0a01-4432-a94a-ca07d7aad681. Once you have supported the set, please comment with your team number for our contest and share with your teammates, friends, and family. Any team with 50+ supporters commenting with your team number will get a LEGO version of that team added to the set in an update as a recommendation to be included. We really want to make this set something that is brought forth by the FIRST community.

As always, we look forward to hearing your comments, insights, and suggestions about the set.

I’m glad that you guys showed this to us, Team 694, at the Central NY regional. Awesome Lego set!

Even if this set has a lower than bricks per dollar ratio, I would buy it in a heartbeat! I just made a lego id to vote for it. Seeing the jump in support from the lego steamworks, it should happen…
