Limelight 2 LEDs are flashing repeatedly

Hello everyone,

Our Limelight 2 LEDs are flashing repeatedly even after updating to the latest image. Any tips for resolving this issue?

Is the limelight dashboard up and accessible? Can you hear if the limelight fan is constantly running? If not it kind of looks like and underpowered situation where the limelight is trying to start up and then goes off.

If it is accessible does changing the LEDs do anything? Did this just start happening with the latest image? Does this always happen?

To expand on what @jdaming said. The limelight should be plugged into the PD(P/H) either through the 2 wirers or passive 12 POE. Do not use the VRM Getting Started — Limelight 1.0 documentation

The limelight dashboard is up and accessible. I’ll have to pay closer attention to the fan during our next meeting. It is powered by the PDP and has been solid for the 2020 season and 2021 Skills challenges. I believe this problem started happening as soon as we installed the first 2022.0 Update.

So when you command the LEDs using ledMode does anything change?

I’ll try changing the ledmode in code tonight. One of my programmers said that changing the LED status in the dashboard did not affect it.

I’m wondering if it’s a code issue now… maybe we have conflicting commands that are turning the LEDs on and then off.
