Limelight 2022 Availability

Hello Teams,

We will begin shipping Limelight 2+ 2022 units before January 31st. Also, you can expect a new Limelight 2022 image with some great upgrades and optimizations over the next few days.
The electronics shortage has forced us to make some extremely painful decisions, but we are glad to have 2+ units for this season. There will be no price hikes, and we look forward to providing more updates after the game is announced!

That’s great to hear. Will the new image specifically pick up the new vision target configuration?

The 2022 image now supports “smart target grouping” to draw the bounding box around a configured number of vision targets.

Just wanted to nudge this topic, is January 31st still the target? And is that the day Limelights will be available only directly from Limelight? Or will all suppliers have them by that date?

We are pushing the launch to February 4th to make sure we are ahead of orders. Units are progressing through QA and everything is looking great.

Any insight into roughly what time (and timezone) the restock will be at on the 4th? Our team is trying to work out a schedule to watch all day, plus there’s debate about when “day” starts, but I’ll bet you know and we can just ask. :slight_smile:

We are going to add another batch of units on Feb 11 at 9:00AM PT, but AndyMark is still live and WCP appears to be launching at 12PT.

I’m happy to hear that you’re covered.
To provide a bit more context, the shortage is real and some of our most important components took around 12 months to ship. We think we are covered for this season, and we’re launching in large batches as units are built and tested.
