I’m currently calibrating 3 limelights, one limelight 3, and 2 limelight 2+'s. For the limelight 3 I got a pretty decent calibration reprojection error of 1.54. When I went to calibrate the 2+'s, I keep getting horrible results of 60+ although the way I took the pictures didn’t change. Any tips on how to get better results? I already read the documentation and took all the tips/tricks.
Also, if possible- can I use my 1.54 error projection result from the lime 3 to the other 2? If so this would make my life so much easier
We are also trying to calibrate a limelight 3 but haven’t been able to get a reproduction error below 50 with the standard calibration tool. How did you manage to calibrate the limelight accurately?
I’m not 100% sure, but the matrix of how the camera perceives the field around it is a pretty good indicator on where the error is coming from. What I did, is when the matrix had problems and unsure readings in a certain area I would take more pictures in that angle/specific area that it had bad readings in. It wasn’t a 100% guarantee that the calibration would improve from that, but it was definitely better than a shot in the dark.
