Limelight Not Appearing On Network Tables

Hello peoples,

We are currently using the limelight 2 on our robot. When we connect the limelight directly to our driver station, we can see the limelight’s interface using a static IP. However, the limelight itself will not appear in network tables. We can connect to the web interface and have made sure all status lights are lighting up, but can not see/access it in the network tables.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Have you set the team number to the same number set on your RIO? Which programming language are you using?

We have set the team number to the same number on our RIO. We’re using Java

Networktables requires a roboRIO on the network unless you are running a custom NT server on your DS. Have you tried this on a robot network?

We have the limelight connected to our radio, which is connected to the RoboRIO.

Got it. How are you testing the NT functionality? Have you tried running outlineviewer?

We checked the NT on the Shuffleboard and OutlineViewer, but the limelight didn’t show up on either.

  1. Make sure you clicked the “set team number” button in the interface.

  2. Just to confirm - you can see the web interface while on the robot network, correct?

  3. Are you using 2019.6.1?

  4. What IP address is assigned to your unit?

Did you make sure your netmask and gateway are correct, i.e 255.255.255.0 and 10.TE.AM.1. Limelight has extremely helpful documentation and I would recommend checking out http://docs.limelightvision.io/en/latest/getting_started.html#networking-setup if you really need to troubleshoot

Yes, the team number has been set to 11 on the interface, and we can see the interface while on the robot network. We are using the latest limelight release (2019.6.1), and are using the static IP address 10.0.11.11

Problem appeared to be a faulty ethernet hub. It has been replaced and we can now see the limelight on the NetworkTables
