Limelight v2 with PhotonVision input problems

Hello, our team has been working on trying to get PhotonVision to work with an old limelight for ball tracking, to replace our PixyCam, as the SPI connection and library we have been using to strafe and move towards balls has led to memory issues and the robot crashing. However, when using the Limelight with PhotonVision (using the GloWorm image as suggested in docs), the image is not as bright as we would like in order to distinguish between colors and balls.

If anyone has been using a limelight in this way, what have you done in order to distinguish between colors, or did you even have these issues?

Thank you in advance.

The workaround is to use a higher resolution. We limit exposure so that it doesn’t get so high that it makes you dip below the rated framerate…

This has become a problem for people and I think we need to just allow people to go over the “max” and warn if they do. I see this as a priority for our next release, but I don’t have time to do it right now (maybe in the next couple of weeks).
